In Heerlen, you can get a permanent, temporary or seasonal pitch. This is a place for stallholders with a maximum area of 24 square meters. You can also use these places outside the fixed markets and market hours.

Cost

You will pay for the pitch in 2024:

  • €19.60 dues
  • €2.92 per linear meter 

Description

You can only occupy a city stand with a movable stall or a mobile vehicle/sales vehicle. For example, you can think of an oliebollen or nut stall. Full is full. If there is no more space at the available locations, we will write you on a waiting list in order of application.

The locations for city stands are:

  • Bongerd
  • Mayor van Grunsven Square
  • Cornelius Square
  • Gebrookerplein
  • Bautscherweg
  • Weltertuijn Street
  • van Weerden Poelman Street.

During the months of November and December, there will be additional oliebollen stands:

  • Station Street
  • Gebrookerplein
  • Cornelius Square
  • Bautscherweg

Requirements

We do not allocate booths within a radius of 150 meters from the market area, on the days/hours of the Municipal Commodity Market and the Food and Flower Market. We do this if the goods or merchandise are also for sale at the market.
We also allocate within a radius of 100 meters no more than 5 booths, with (partially) simultaneous occupation. The exception to this are the stalls on the Bongerd.

To receive an allocation for a city stand you must:

  • be commercially competent
  • Be 18 years of age
  • Be registered with the Chamber of Commerce
  • Be registered with the Central Registration Office at the Retail Headquarters
  • submit an application for a permit to the College of Mayor and Aldermen with valid identification

Term

You can object to the municipality's decision. You must do this within 6 weeks of the decision. If you disagree with the decision on the objection, you can appeal to the court.
