Skatepark The Promise is open again. The indoor skatepark was closed for three weeks for renovations. The skatepark has been completely refurbished. All damage has been repaired. The entire top layer has been replaced with new birch wood. This makes the track feel like new again. New elements have also been added. Existing elements have been repainted. The park now looks fresh and new.
The Social Safety approach was officially extended to Heerlen-Zuid yesterday. This approach tackles livability issues at the neighborhood level and behind closed doors in an integrated manner. We take decisive action against nuisance and crime, but also offer appropriate assistance where necessary.
During Limburg Archaeology Day 2025 at the Limburgs Museum, the cup with the inscription FLAC was voted Limburg's Top Find! This unique find, excavated in 2024 on Raadhuisplein in Heerlen, was discovered in an early Roman grave near the intersection of two Roman roads.
