The building Kouvenderstraat 97 in Hoensbroek is purchased by the municipality. The building is intended for the Center Safety, Liveability, Health & Right to establish. The building is located in the center of Hoensbroek. After a renovation and sustainability, delivery is expected around May 2025.
On Saturday, September 21, the mayor Roel Wever a ribbon was awarded to Els and Wilma. Both ladies received the award for their years of dedication to the Caumerveld - De Erk Neighborhood Association. Now that they are retiring, this is a well-deserved recognition for their tireless efforts.
To mark the International Day of the Elderly, Heerlen residents aged 55 and older can visit three museums in the city for free. This can be done on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6. People over 55 can enter for free if they show their ID. Castle Hoensbroek, the Mining Museum and SCHUNCK Glaspaleis participate. We hold this action for the 2nd time.
The municipality of Heerlen is taking an important next step in its Sustainability Offensive by launching a pilot with 50 households in the Molenberg neighborhood in July. The pilot focuses on private homes with a WOZ value lower than €219,000 and an energy label D, E, F or G.
